Senior Vice President, Regional Marketing and Talent Attraction
Jessica Heer is the Senior Vice President of Regional Marketing and Talent Attraction, overseeing the DRC’s marketing team and leading the marketing efforts to attract and retain businesses and workers from around the world. Heer and her team lead Say Yes to Dallas, a national communications and marketing initiative to highlight the Dallas Region as a great place to start or continue a career, to raise a family, and to experience one of the most vibrant and affordable metros in the nation.
Heer joined the DRC in 2005 as a member of the Research and Innovation department, where she was responsible for producing the Dallas Economic Development Guide and providing research analysis to DRC members and departments. In 2007, she joined the Economic Development team, leading corporate recruitment efforts for companies considering a move to or expansion in the Dallas Region. During her tenure, Heer completed many economic development projects, including AT&T, Jacobs, Kubota Tractor Corporation, and Toyota Motor North America.
Prior to joining the DRC, she worked at the North Central Texas Council of Governments where she was responsible for economic data research efforts, supporting agency departments, local governments, and the public.
Heer holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Midwestern State University and a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A) from the University of North Texas.
