Dana Jennings

Senior Vice President, Communications, Marketing & Events

Dana Jennings is Senior Vice President of Communications, Marketing & Events at the Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC), which has been recognized as National Chamber of the Year. 

Jennings leads the DRC’s holistic communications, marketing, and events strategy to provide a high-quality member experience and position the DRC as a leader in the Dallas Region and beyond. Jennings is the primary contact for media and manages all messaging for the DRC’s business and legislative priorities.  

Before joining the DRC in January 2023, Jennings held several communications roles of increasing responsibility at the University of Texas at Arlington. Her responsibilities included working directly with university leadership to build a campus communications strategy to engage students and staff across all channels with uniform messages around news, business, and high-priority events, including in crisis response situations. Additionally, she led media relations efforts to further UTA’s reputation as a premier research institution.  

Earlier in her career, Jennings led executive communications for the Texas Tech University System under the leadership of Chancellor Robert L. Duncan. She managed efforts to strategically communicate the chancellor’s vision for the system and the future of higher education. Notably, Jennings was tasked with creating all messaging to support the development of the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine, including through an academic feasibility report for the Texas Legislature and collateral for a multi-million dollar fundraising effort. 

A native of Arlington, Texas, Jennings earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from Texas Tech University.
