On Wednesday, March 27, the LEAD YP group of the Dallas Regional Chamber welcomed Evan Sheets, Senior Director of Economic Development and Mobility for Downtown Dallas, Inc. Sheets spoke to the group about what Downtown Dallas, Inc. is doing to advocate for change and development in downtown Dallas. He discussed Downtown Dallas, Inc.’s strategic priorities and activities to continue to bring new people and businesses into the heart of the city. Sheets also covered Downtown Dallas, Inc.’s 360 plan, the focus of which is to create forward momentum in planning for Dallas’ urban center, and a reimagination of what neighborhoods, transportation, and development will look like in the near future.
The LEAD YP group also hosted Duane Dankesreiter, Senior Vice President of Research and Innovation at the DRC, and Milton Grays, Director of Talent Attraction for the DRC, both of whom participated in a panel discussion on innovation. Dankesreiter detailed the Dallas Innovates campaign, which is a collaboration of the Dallas Regional Chamber and D Magazine to make Dallas an innovative region where people talk about through unique ways of engagement, news, business intelligence, and thought leadership. Grays discussed the Say Yes to Dallas campaign, which is committed to attracting and retaining talent from around the world, as well as showcasing Dallas as a great place to live and work.
