West Monroe is an AI-native global business and technology consulting firm that helps organizations solve complex challenges, improve performance and create measurable value. We combine deep industry expertise with technology and hands-on execution to help clients move faster, operate more efficiently and prepare for what’s next.

Our work spans private equity, financial services, health care, energy and utilities, insurance and technology, with capabilities ranging from M&A and operational transformation to AI strategy and implementation.

In Dallas, our team of more than 100 people supports businesses across the region. As Dallas Office Lead and a Partner in our Organizational Performance practice, I work closely with finance and operations leaders to improve profitability, productivity and business performance. My focus includes ERP implementation and modernization, IT services and organizational change, helping clients navigate complex transformations and make sure new systems and ways of working deliver lasting value.

How does West Monroe help its clients build value?

Building value starts with understanding what a client is trying to accomplish and working alongside them to make it happen. That might mean improving profitability, reducing costs, integrating an acquisition or figuring out where AI can make the biggest difference.

For example, we helped a Fortune 500 retailer identify $11 million in value ahead of a major ERP transformation, while building more than $20 million in protections into its implementation plan. And, for a software company looking to scale AI across its business, we identified up to $18 million in potential annual savings by finding opportunities to automate more than 50 workflows.

I’ve spent nearly 30 years leading large-scale transformation programs, and one thing I’ve learned is that even the best technology won’t deliver results if people aren’t ready to use it. That’s why we put as much emphasis on leadership, organizational change and adoption as we do on the technology itself. Our goal is to help clients make improvements that last.

What differentiates West Monroe within your industry?

What makes West Monroe different is how we bring together deep industry knowledge, business consulting and technology expertise under one roof, and then roll up our sleeves to get the work done. We’re not a firm that hands over a roadmap and walks away. We work side by side with clients, and we have the agility to move quickly, experiment and innovate without the layers of bureaucracy that can slow down larger organizations. We’re about 2,000 people globally.

Another major differentiator is how we’ve embraced AI. We’re not just helping clients become AI-native. We’ve transformed how our own firm operates, embedding AI into how our people work, collaborate and develop solutions. For example, we’ve built an internal marketplace of more than 600 employee-created AI solutions ranging from a prompt clarity coach to a restaurant menu insights demo for a client. We’re putting new ideas into practice every day, learning what works and bringing those lessons directly to our clients.

Our people are encouraged to experiment, challenge traditional ways of working and bring new ideas forward. That entrepreneurial mindset, combined with our ability to execute, is a big part of what sets West Monroe apart.

What benefits does West Monroe enjoy by doing business in the Dallas Region?

Dallas is an exciting place to do business because there’s so much happening here. We’re seeing companies establish headquarters, expand operations and make significant investments across the region, creating opportunities to work with organizations at important moments in their growth.

I relocated here in 2017, and I’ve seen firsthand how much the business community has evolved. Having a strong local presence allows us to be closer to our clients and really understand the business landscape, including the opportunities and challenges unique to this market. There’s a real sense of ambition and a willingness to embrace new ideas here, which makes Dallas a great environment for helping businesses navigate change.

The region also has an incredible talent pool. We’ve grown our local team to more than 100 people, and continuing to attract and develop great people is one of my biggest priorities. The combination of business growth, talent and strong community relationships makes Dallas a place where we see tremendous long-term opportunity.

Why did West Monroe become a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber?

One of the things I’ve always appreciated about Dallas is the deeply connected business community. There’s a shared interest in seeing the region succeed, and the DRC plays an important role in bringing people and organizations together.

As we’ve grown our Dallas office, we’ve wanted to become more involved in the conversations shaping the region’s future and build stronger relationships with the businesses and leaders who call Dallas home.

For us, membership is an opportunity to contribute to the region’s economic growth, understand the challenges local organizations are facing and help develop the next generation of leaders, both within our firm and across the broader business community. We’ve built something great in Dallas, and we want to play an active role in where the region is headed.

How has West Monroe changed in the last five years?

I think the biggest change has been how we’ve evolved alongside our clients along with the growing demands of the business world.

Five years ago, much of the conversation was about digital transformation and modernizing systems. Those priorities haven’t disappeared, but AI has fundamentally changed what’s possible and how quickly organizations can get there. Companies are looking for ways to move faster, work smarter and get more value from their investments, and we’ve evolved to help them do just that.

We’ve made significant investments in becoming an AI-native consulting firm, changing not only the solutions we bring to clients but how our own people work every day. We’re finding new ways to solve problems, deliver results faster and help clients take advantage of opportunities that weren’t possible just a few years ago.

That evolution has happened alongside tremendous business growth in Dallas and the needs and expectations are changing, too. We’ve continued to grow our local presence and expand our expertise to help businesses navigate those changes.

What hasn’t changed is our focus on people. I’ve learned that lasting success comes down to people working together and being willing to embrace change. That’s been true throughout my career, and I think it’s even more important today.
