Founded by Craig Hall in 1968 and still family-owned, Dallas-based HALL Group exists to create experiences and places that enrich lives. Our expertise spans commercial real estate development, ownership, management and leasing; hospitality; private lending through HALL Structured Finance; entrepreneurship and venture capital; and artisan winemaking through HALL Family Wines in California.
In North Texas, our work centers on three anchors. HALL Arts, in the Dallas Arts District, brings together HALL Arts Hotel and HALL Arts Residences. HALL Park, our 162-acre campus in Frisco, has evolved from a suburban office park into a mixed-use community with The Tower at HALL Park, The Monarch, HALL Park Hotel and the coming Terraces HALL Park and Terra Residences, all surrounding Kaleidoscope Park. And HALL Uptown, the eight-story, 112,000-square-foot office building at 2525 McKinnon Street we acquired in August 2026, will serve as one of our Dallas headquarters alongside HALL Park. Beyond Texas, our portfolio also includes Thompson Palm Springs. Art runs through all of it: HALL Art Collections place museum-quality works across our properties for tenants, residents, guests and the public to enjoy.
How does HALL Group help its clients build value?
We build value by creating places, not just buildings. Our office tenants recruit and retain talent more easily when their address comes with a hotel, restaurants, a public park and an art collection next door. That thinking shaped HALL Arts from day one and is driving HALL Park’s reinvention.
For homeowners at HALL Arts Residences and residents at The Monarch, value comes from design quality, hotel-caliber service and a location that only becomes more desirable as its neighborhood matures. For hotel guests, it is an art-forward stay rooted in the Arts District or Frisco’s growing cultural scene.
Through HALL Structured Finance, we help developers across the country get projects built, drawing on more than 30 years of hospitality lending. Because we are developers and owners ourselves, we understand our borrowers’ challenges from the inside and tailor creative financing to each project. This year, that expertise led to a dedicated structured loan program with Hyatt for new Hyatt Studios hotels nationwide.
What differentiates HALL Group within your industry?
Three things set us apart. First, we are a family company with a 58-year track record and a long-term view. We hold what we build, so we make decisions for the next generation of tenants and residents, not the next quarter.
Second, art is part of our business model, not decoration. Craig and Kathryn Hall believe art nourishes the human spirit, and our properties prove it is also good business: people linger, return and recommend places that move them. It is why we partnered with the City of Frisco to create Kaleidoscope Park, a free public park now growing by 1.4 acres.
Third, we are vertically integrated. As both a developer and a private lender, we bring development, ownership, hospitality, lending and marketing under one roof, so a hotel guest, a homeowner and an office tenant all experience the same standard of care.
What benefits does HALL Group enjoy by doing business in the Dallas Region?
Our confidence in the Dallas Region shows where we invest: the Dallas Arts District, Uptown and Frisco. Each market has rewarded that commitment.
In the Arts District, we saw what a mixed-use project could add to the cultural heart of the city. HALL Arts Hotel became the district’s first hotel, and HALL Arts Residences brings full-time neighbors to its world-class venues. Our proximity to those institutions gives guests and homeowners an experience no other Dallas address can match.
HALL Uptown places our Dallas headquarters in one of the city’s most walkable, in-demand office districts. In Frisco, we bought the land for HALL Park in the late 1980s, when the town had about 6,000 residents. Today it is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, and HALL Park is growing with it.
Across all three, the region’s corporate relocations, business-friendly climate and deep talent pool keep demand strong for quality office space, homes and hotel rooms. Just as valuable is the civic spirit here: city leaders, arts organizations and fellow businesses have been genuine partners, and that collaboration makes ambitious work possible.
Why did HALL Group become a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber?
We have always believed that a company does well when its community does well. The DRC is where the region’s business leaders come together to attract investment, develop talent and shape policy, and we want a seat at that table.
Membership connects us with companies considering a move to North Texas, many of whom become tenants, hotel guests and residents. It also advances our C.A.R.E. commitment to Community, Arts, Responsible Business Practices and Entrepreneurship, which has guided our giving since our family foundation was established in 1977. The DRC is a natural platform to champion all four across the region.
How has HALL Group changed in the last five years?
In 2021, we began reimagining HALL Park, turning a traditional office campus into a place to live, work and play. The Monarch opened in 2023, followed by HALL Park Hotel, Frisco’s first Autograph Collection property, and we just broke ground on Terra Residences, HALL Park’s next residential community. JPMorganChase recently signed a lease at HALL Park, and we are now building The Terraces HALL Park, a 10-story Class A office tower, alongside a $14 million Kaleidoscope Park expansion, both due in 2028.
In the Arts District, HALL Arts Residences has matured into one of Dallas’ most sought-after addresses, capped this fall by the launch of the Sky Terrace Penthouse. HALL Arts Hotel also joined Marriott’s Autograph Collection and opened its newly rebranded Astra Kitchen + Lounge.
We have grown our footprint too, opening Thompson Palm Springs in 2024, adding The Shelby Residences and acquiring HALL Uptown this year, while HALL Structured Finance continues to expand its national lending. Through it all, the standard Craig Hall set in 1968 has not changed.
