Best Place for Working Parents™ Dallas is a new initiative, presented by the Dallas Regional Chamber, to recognize family-friendly workplaces in the Dallas Region and raise awareness of the importance of family-friendly benefits and policies.
Through a first-of-its-kind business self-assessment, employers may quickly determine whether their workplace qualifies for a Best Place for Working Parents™ business designation, and compare their policies to companies of similar size and industry.
Businesses that achieve the Best Place for Working Parents™ designation through the online self-assessment will receive a digital badge to tout their organization via web, social media, and print as a Best Place for Working Parents™.
Businesses that complete the assessment by Friday, Feb. 12, and are eligible to receive a designation will be recognized at the DRC’s State of Early Education on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
Being Family-Friendly is Business-Friendly
National research tells us that there is a serious business case to being family-friendly.
In 65% of Texas households, both parents work (4.5 million households statewide).
83% of millennials will leave one job for another with stronger family policies.
Replacing an employee costs a business 6-9 months of that employee’s salary.
TOP 10 FAMILY-FRIENDLY POLICIES THAT IMPACT BUSINESSES' BOTTOM LINE
The assessment highlights only the family-friendly policies that also have research-proven benefit to businesses’ bottom line. Each question in the self-assessment ties to policies that positively impact employee attraction, retention, satisfaction, and productivity.
Join the movement today to become a Best Place for Working Parents™ and keep your business at the forefront of attracting and retaining top talent.
