This week the DRC supported SB 22 authorizing a state-wide P-TECH (Pathways to Technology early college high school) program during its hearing in the House Public Education Committee. Already passed in the Senate, the bill has passed favorably out of the Education Committee and is headed for full House Consideration on May 3.
The DRC dropped a card in opposition of HB 1333, posing significant changes to reduce and weaken student academic accountability testing. The DRC also dropped a card of support for HB 971 to allow DCCCD to offer an optional four-year degree in early childhood education.
