“Meeting people is great, and I encourage all YP members to use the tools YP provides to build their network. But I am a firm believer that the best way to build relationships is to build something together. YP has proven that to me. When I look back on what we have accomplished—with incredible programs like the Summit, CEO Series, Governmental Leaders Breakfasts, and Get On Board—I can point to those who built those programs and know they will work just as hard for me if I need their services. Hopefully, vice versa. YP has provided me a chance to show my peers that I care deeply about accomplishing great things, and I will do the same for them.”

Get on Board Initiative
One of the pillars of the Young Professionals mission is to promote service and civic involvement in our community. Along with the many service projects we host each year, YP encourages its members to take on leadership roles within the nonprofit sector. The Get on Board Initiative allows YP members to meet and learn from current board members, and each participating nonprofit offers a seat on its board for which YP members can apply. The applications are now closed.
YP Impact Mentoring Program
Invest in the next generation of youth in our community by building meaningful one-on-one relationships with students. YP Impact partners with a Dallas ISD high school to mentor students and build the interpersonal and professional skills they needed to succeed. YP Impact will allow you to serve the community in a way that leverages your skills and experiences while helping the next generation become young professionals themselves.
At this annual event, young professionals in the Dallas Region have a unique opportunity to advance their careers and grow professionally at YP Summit! This all-day conference develops future leaders by providing the opportunity to build relationships, engage in transformative learning opportunities, and interact with civic and business leaders.
Meet with regional CEOs in a small group setting to ask questions and discuss current issues, business strategies, and civic impact. Hosted twice a year for 10-20 attendees, this YP members-only series offers young professionals unparalleled access to key business leaders in the community and invaluable advice for career development and growth.
Networking Happy Hours
Mingle with other young professionals who are looking to meet new people, build relationships in the community, and bolster their careers. Held at exciting locations around Uptown and downtown like British Beverage Company, Dave and Busters, and Cook Hall, these events give you the opportunity to discuss hot topics with interesting people from other industries and backgrounds.
Roll up your sleeves and give back with friends at a YP service event. Each year YP participates in a number of service projects benefiting the Dallas community. We strive to engage members in meaningful volunteer opportunities that give back to the Dallas region. Previous projects have included working with Dallas ISD schools, cleaning up community park, building homes with Habitat for Humanity, and sorting toys for the holidays Salvation Army. If you have a passion for service, then YP is the place for you.
Government Leaders Breakfast Series
Sit down with local and state elected officials or government leaders in a small group setting and learn about current issues, public policy issues, and what it takes to run for office. In a small group of approximately 25 people, you have the opportunity to speak with community leaders like Eric Johnson (Texas House Representative District 100), Monica Alonzo (Mayor Pro-Tem), Rafael Anchia (Texas House Representative District 103), and AC Gonzalez (City Manager).
YP Women’s Network (YPWN)
Connect with female peers through volunteering, networking, and educational events, which cover female-centric topics such as the female corporate and nonprofit leadership. Additionally, YPWN holds social and networking events, which are open to all members of YP.
Annual Holiday Party
Celebrate another successful year while growing your professional network at the YP Holiday Party, which includes appetizers, a bar, and entertaining activities.
