International Business Council Announces "Navigating Global Risk" Series

The Dallas Regional Chamber’s International Business Council is proud to announce a global business risk mitigation series titled “Navigating Global Risk”.  This new initiative will be offering educational programming for companies seeking to expand business overseas and would like to analyze and avoid potential risks in doing so.  Continuing education credits will be available, and topics will range from country-specific programming to financial tools and policy know-how.

The first in the series, the India Business Forum on September 30th at the Cityplace Conference and Event Center, will feature two panels focusing on regulatory changes affecting U.S. businesses in India and opportunities for investment. Confirmed panelists will include the head of international banking at J.P. Morgan Chase, Morgan McGrath, and the head of KPMG’s U.S.-based India desk, Ajay Agarwal. India provides enormous opportunities to U.S. companies (large and small) in expanding exports and maintaining U.S. jobs due to its solid economic growth even in the current credit crisis.

Other topics in the series will include Foreign Currency Exchange, the U.S.-China Business Forum, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act: Enforcement in the Obama Administration, Exporting Without Risk, the North American Competitiveness Forum, Interest Rate Hedging, the Brazil Business Forum, International Sales Contracts, the Russia Business Forum, Importing Without Risk, Global Human Resources Management, the Middle East Forum, U.S. Foreign Trade Regulatory Policy, and Global Business Process Outsourcing.
