Apply to Be A Winner in Workplace Flexibility Today

For the sixth year in a row, the Dallas Regional Chamber is partnering with the Families and Work Institute, US Chamber, and Twiga Foundation to promote the benefits of workplace flexibility and recognize local employers invested in employee satisfaction. The nation-wide initiative is designed to share research and best practices on what makes work “work” in the 21st Century.

Leading the initiative in the DFW region , the Chamber is offering our member companies a chance to be recognized as one of the winners of the 2010 Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility, a premier national recognition program.

One of the most crucial issues facing employers today is how to get, keep and engage the best people. But this is more challenging today than ever -- with increasing competition and pressures to keep costs down, and generational differences in the workforce, from younger parents who may want time to spend with their families to older workers who want to work fewer hours as they approach retirement and to everyone who wants to work in more effective workplaces. The Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility celebrates employers that have made employee satisfaction a priority and improved the quaility of their work environment.

We encourage you to fill out the online application to learn how your organization measures up against others nationally. The 2010 application is currently available, ending May 28th. If you are interested in applying, please visit the When Work Works website for more information. There you will find information about past winners, research about workplace flexibility, a description of the grading process and much more.
