As the second largest state in concentration of technology professionals, Texas is working diligently to stay ahead of the curve as technology constantly evolves.
With nearly 240,000 technology workers - more than Austin and Houston combined – Dallas/Fort Worth is at the center of this exciting momentum. The region is also home to 24 Fortune 500 companies, including innovators AT&T, GameStop, Southwest Airlines and J.C. Penney.
One of these Fortune 500 technology companies, Texas Instruments, will be featured at the Dallas Regional Chamber’s 10th Annual State of Technology Luncheon and Innovation Showcase. Rich Templeton, the company 's Chairman, President, & Chief Executive Officer, will give the luncheon keynote address about growth opportunities.
Texas Instruments is a longtime anchor company in DFW’s technology business community. The company develops semiconductor technologies that aid in the development of a variety of wide-ranging applications. These include entertainment and medical services, automated systems and digital communications.
These kinds of products, as well as many others, will be on display during the State of Technology exposition. Nearly 50 companies’ cutting-edge products and services will be featured, as well as a dedicated section for DFW entrepreneurial companies.
Hosted by the Chamber’s Technology Business Council, the 10th Annual State of Technology Luncheon and Innovation Showcase will be held July 27 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. The exhibit hall is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the luncheon begins at noon.
