100 Years Dallas Regional Chamber Celebrates 100 Years of Excellence
This year, 2009, marks the Dallas Regional Chamber’s 100th anniversary. The Chamber was responsible in part for such institutions as Southern Methodist University (1911), the Federal Reserve Bank (1914), and the creation of DFW airport (1964-1967).

Prop 1 and 2 Chamber Urges a ‘No’ Vote on Propositions 1 and 2 for
May 9 Election

Propositions 1 and 2 will be on the ballot for Dallas voters May 9. Voting "No" will move the Dallas Convention Center Hotel forward as well as allow the City of Dallas to continue to offer incentives to private developers for hotels, condominiums and retail facilities.

DC Chamber Active In Washington DC
The Dallas Regional Chamber is actively engaging our North Texas delegation in Washington DC. President Jim Oberwetter’s pro-active efforts in Washington DC are directed toward building upon a positive climate for job and investment growth in the North Texas region. In early April, President Jim Oberwetter and Vice President of Government Relations Jay Barksdale met with United States Senator’s Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn as well as the North Texas Congressional Delegation.
