International Business Council: Key to Organizational Growth

International trade is vital to the economic growth of DFW and key in bringing the global economy out of recession. Growing organizations in North Texas need to have access to expertise in international business. Membership in the Dallas Regional Chamber and its International Business Council (IBC) will provide that and more.

Several of the IBC's programs and initiatives directly affect the livelihood of North Texas organizations, including foreign direct investment attraction, incoming delegation visits, industry briefings, networking opportunities, international legislative and regulatory advocacy, educational programming, trade development programming, strategic foreign market advising, and economic development implementation. Executives on the IBC provide guidance for the Chamber's strategic market initiatives, positions on legislative issues, and international programs and networking events.

The IBC delivers real results for its members and for the North Texas region. In 2008, the IBC coordinated 9 "Invest in DFW" presentations overseas to foreign business executives and government leaders, which secured 35 qualified investment leads and 6 foreign companies' investment in DFW. This resulted in 500 new jobs in the region! Click here to learn about more about the IBC's 2008 accomplishments.

As the "Gateway to the Americas," North Texas holds a very unique place in the global economy. The International Business Council is essential in engaging the North Texas international business community and promoting the region as well as each individual organization's global growth. We invite you to join the Dallas Regional Chamber's International Business Council today and help us continue to sustainably grow the DFW region.
