Two of the world's largest industrial parks, counterparts from Texas and China, met during a Chamber-hosted meeting to discuss opportunities for doing business in their respective regions. The Dallas Regional Chamber co-hosted with AllianceTexas, a Chinese delegation from Suzhou Industrial Park. Representatives from both companies shared their history and discussed ways to collaborate.
In 1994, the Singapore and Chinese governments decided to join hands in developing a modern industrial park east of Suzhou. The China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park (CS-SIP) was founded when Chinese Vice Premier Li Lanqing and Singapore Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew signed the Agreement on the Joint Development of Suzhou Industrial Park in Beijing. Since then the Industrial Park has formed partnerships around the globe.
AllianceTexas, developed by Hillwood - a Perot Company, is a 17,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use community located in north Fort Worth.
