Capital Connections

Over 80 entrepreneurs and capital sources gathered on February 25 for the first Capital Connections workshop of the year.

The event included a presentation from PricewaterhouseCoopers' MoneyTree report and heavy networking. The MoneyTree report announces venture capital activity across the US. The study is a collaboration between PricwaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association.

"We wanted the focus of this workshop to be on entrepreneurs finding partners to assist in their business' growth, or connecting a capital source with their next deal," said Shannon Clark, managing director of the technology business development arm of the chamber.

Entrepreneurs were encouraged to bring other area entrepreneurs and capital sources with them for the event.

Capital Connections are quarterly workshops for entrepreneurs and capital sources to network, gain advice and share resources. Workshop topics have included the outlook on angel and venture capital funding, IPOs, bootstrapping, and assembling a management team. A special thank you to PricewaterhouseCoopers for their support of this series.
