The Dallas Regional Chamber’s International Business Council (IBC) announces that its highly sought after Small to Mid-Size Enterprise International Business Achievement Award (IBAA) application is now available. This award recognizes a small to mid-sized business whose global successes and outstanding civic involvement have raised the international profile of the Dallas area and contributed to the economic growth of the North Texas region.
Criteria includes:
- Applicant must be located in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, which includes the 12-county DFW Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA)
- Applicant need not be a Chamber member
- Applicant must have no more than $150 million in annual sales – companies will be judged in several revenue categories
- Applicant should have realized growth in international business development
- Applicant should have a distinctive (while showing regulatory compliance) method of achieving growth within past 2 years, showing a trend for continued success
- Applicants should show active involvement in civic affairs
The International Business Achievement Awards, established in 1996, brings awareness of the role North Texas companies play in the global market. Past award recipients include DFW Airport, 7-Eleven, Kimberly Clark, Mary Kay, Raytheon, Texas Instruments, EDS, former Dallas Mayor Ron Kirk, Ray Hunt, Gabriel and Ann Barbier-Mueller, eleven U.S. Ambassadors, and seven Nobel Laureates of Dallas/Fort Worth.
The International Business Achievement Awards Luncheon and International Business Expo will be held in the fall of 2009.
