Leadership Dallas Alumni Name Alan Wood New Chair-elect

The Leadership Dallas Alumni Board has selected Alan Wood, Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle, as the 2010 Chair-elect. Wood is a member of the 2008 Leadership Dallas class and has been instrumental in directing the Volunteer/Community Outreach efforts of the Leadership Dallas Alumni this year.

As a member of Jones Lang LaSalle’s tenant representation team, his ability to understand the overall business objectives of his clients and translate them into real estate strategies has made him a valuable leader in many different arenas. Wood’s perspective allows him to interact effectively with all facets of the client's management and have led him to assignments in more than fifty markets in the United States including call centers, data centers, corporate headquarters, distribution/manufacturing, national account management, tax abatement/incentives negotiations, and time critical assignments.

Wood has a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from the University of Houston where he was a student athlete on the golf team. He is the Vice Chairman for Planning and Zoning Commission for the Town of Addison; serves on the Board of Directors, North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, Co-Chairman for Sponsorship for March of Dimes Signature Chefs and is a proud member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas.

Wood has been selected as a “Heavy Hitter” in commercial real estate by the Dallas Business Journal and in 2010 was selected as the Greater Irving/Las Colinas Commercial Broker of the Year.
