Bishop also serves as CEO of Trajectory Health LLC, a research and consulting firm providing advanced clinical strategies to insurance companies and hospital systems.

Texas Legislature to Convene for 81st Regular Session on January 13th, 2009; Chamber Lobbies for Region
As the largest metropolitan area in the state, the economic vitality of Texas is closely tied to the continued economic health of Dallas/Fort Worth. D/FW currently represents one-quarter of the state’s population and accounts for one-third of its gross domestic product. The Dallas Regional Chamber supports the following priority initiatives in the 81st Texas Legislature.

Chamber Welcomes Robert W. Best as 2009 Chairman of the Board
The Dallas Regional Chamber is proud to announce the selection of Bob Best as the 2009 Chairman of the Board. Best has been the chairman, president and chief executive officer of Dallas-based Atmos Energy Corporation, the country’s largest natural-gas-only distributor, since March 1997.

Dallas Regional Chamber Announces Selection of New President
On December 22nd, the Dallas Regional Chamber announced the selection of James C. Oberwetter, former United States Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and currently Chairman, Oberwetter & Company, LLC, as the new Chamber President, replacing Jan Hart Black who has served as Chamber President for the past ten years.

American Airlines to Launch Daily Flights to Madrid from Dallas-Fort Worth in May
Spain’s Capital Becomes American and American Eagle’s 34th Nonstop International Destination From Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. American Airlines announced it will begin daily nonstop service between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Madrid, Spain, starting May 1, 2009. American will fly the route with its 225-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft in two-class configuration.

New Event to Highlight Sustainable Infrastructure
The Dallas Regional Chamber is hosting a Sustainable Infrastructure Summit on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Cityplace Conference Center, 2711 North Haskell. The Sustainable Infrastructure Summit is a new event for 2009 and will replace two of our annual events, the Public Sector Design and Construction Forum and the Environmental Seminar.

British Consul-General Paul Lynch Visits Dallas
The British American Business Council officially introduced British Consul General Paul Lynch to the North Texas International Community at their Annual Luncheon Meeting on November 20th. The Consul General spoke on the topic of "The UK View of the Global Financial Crisis," and gave an overview of the country's economic and financial history to serve as a backdrop for the UK's current economic situation.

Middle Eastern Delegation Visits Dallas to Discuss Sustainable Technologies
The Dallas Regional Chamber's Sustainable Technologies Committee met with a Middle Eastern delegation on November 13th to discuss "Energy Security for the Future." The State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program hosted this delegation to foster educational exchange about "renewable and alternative energy sources, efficiency, conservation and best practices.”
