Israel has become a leader in water and alternative energy innovations due to its scarce natural resources. Israel has developed pioneer technologies in drip irrigation, water recycling and desalination. Other accomplishments of the region include its efficient use of renewable energy consumption developing technologies ranging from solar power systems, photovoltaic cell systems, geothermal power generation solutions and bio-fuel uses.
The Ministry of Industry and Labor of Israel leads a national program called ISRAEL NEWtech that supports technologies in the water and renewable energy sectors by identifying technology partnerships, new product development and investment opportunities.

This invitation-only event that will feature the participation of leading Israeli companies and will provide utility, clean energy and water-related companies, investors and technologists with an opportunity to learn about highly advanced water and renewable technologies available in both the Texas and Israeli markets.
