DFW Marketing Team Charts Course for 2010

The DFW Marketing Team recently approved its 2010 Program of Work. This year’s agenda includes stops in Las Vegas, Phoenix and New Orleans and significant events in the metroplex.

The Team will market the region at the CoreNet Global Summits in New Orleans and Phoenix. CoreNet Global is the world's leading professional association for corporate real estate and workplace executives serving leading multinational companies from the Fortune and Global 1000.

For the third consecutive year, the Team will market the Dallas/Fort Worth region at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) ReCon in Las Vegas. ReCon is the largest retail show in the country, attracting more than 25,000 shopping center owners, developers, managers, and retailers.

The Team will host its annual location consultant luncheon and embark on a marketing trip to California. The luncheon is an opportunity for the Team to develop relationships with those who make location decisions. The marketing trip allows Team members to meet with companies and location consultants in other states to market the metroplex.

New initiatives include the WindPower 2010 Conference and Exhibition in Dallas and the ICSC Texas Deal Making Conference in Grapevine.

The DFW Marketing Team is an alliance of more than 45 regional economic development organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth region, the Dallas Regional Chamber, Oncor Electric Delivery and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. The Team works with the State of Texas Department of Economic Development and Tourism, corporate real estate executives and location consultants to facilitate new business investment in the metroplex.
