Kathleen Gibson joined Citi in November 2006, as Head of Citibank Texas Commercial and President Citibank Texas. She was named President of the Central Division, Commercial Banking, during 2007, with responsibility for Citi’s Commercial Business from Texas to Illinois.

On November 9, the Dallas Regional Chamber co-hosted with the City of Dallas, HP Enterprise Services, and shorewards.com a Forum focusing on opportunities for collaboration between North Texas and Jiangsu Province, China IT services companies. This event focused on networking opportunities with a distinguished collection of Jiangsu provincial government officials and chief representatives of Jiangsu IT companies seeking solutions and partnership opportunities.

SMU Professor Al Armendariz to Head EPA Region 6
Dr. Alfredo "Al" Armendariz, an associate professor of environmental and civil engineering at Southern Methodist University, was named the new administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Region 6. The EPA’s Region 6 oversees programs in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and 66 Tribes.

Sustainable Technologies Forum Highlighted Energy Efficiency and Transmission Technologies, Financial Opportunities
Breakthrough technologies, deliberative design techniques, and energy efficiency incentives are helping Texas become a leader in energy efficiency and renewable energy. The Chamber’s Technology Business Council’s “2nd Annual Sustainable Technologies Forum” gathered over 100 regional technology and renewable energy executives for a luncheon forum on October 21 to discuss these issues.
