David Johnson, business analyst for KRLD-CBS, will lead a discussion amongst the 14th Annual International Business Achievement Award recipients that will focus on the region’s position in the global market, how these companies are contributing to the economic success of Dallas/Fort Worth, and their stories of struggles and successes in today’s rapidly changing economic and political landscape.
The Dallas Regional Chamber’s International Business Council (IBC) will honor the recipients of the 14th Annual International Business Achievement Awards later this month. The award recipients include:
Large Corporation: Fluor Corporation, to be accepted by Alan Boeckmann, Chairman
and CEO
Individual: The Chiapas Project, to be accepted by Lucy Billingsley, Founder
Small to Mid-Size Business: The award recipient will be announced at the event. The finalists include:
- Berry Appleman & Leiden
- Cressman Tubular
- Design Duncan Miller Ullmann
- HRsmart
- RBC Life Sciences
- Stewart Systems
Johnson, a 33-year Wall Street veteran and business analyst broadcaster, has been a fixture in local and national media since 1975. Johnson has been KRLD-CBS’s business analyst since 1980, broadcasting approximately 85 business reports each week. He also co-anchors KRLD’s Noon Business News Hour and Nightly Business News, and can be heard twice daily state-wide on the Texas State Network. In addition to his local media presence, Johnson has appeared on many national programs, including various CNN broadcasts, CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, ABC News with Peter Jennings, NBC Nightly News and ABC’s The View.
This year’s International Business Achievement Awards are presented by Citi on Friday,
