Rob Moel is regional vice president of Time Warner Cable’s North Texas Division, serving customers in Dallas and the surrounding area, El Paso, the Beaumont/Port Arthur area and Wichita Falls.
Moel had previously served as president of Time Warner Cable’s Southwest Division. Mr. Moel has held executive positions in the company’s Kansas City, Los Angeles, Shreveport and Houston divisions.
Moel was born in West Palm Beach, FL but raised in Brooklyn, NY. He began his cable career in 1981 as an engineering trainee climbing telephone poles for Warner Amex Cable in Columbus, Ohio.
Moel is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1987, Moel completed his MBA at the Columbia Graduate School of Business with honors, and in 1999, he earned his Masters in Electrical Engineering at California State University - Long Beach with honors. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Moel is active in local community affairs as evident by his rank as past-president of the Southern California Cable and Telecommunications Association. Other past involvement includes, board member of several organizations including the Orange County Forum, the Orange County Cancer Education and Research Foundation, the Garden Grove Community Foundation, California Cable Television Association, the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Information Technology Council Initiative and as Board Member of the Louisiana Cable Television Association. Currently, Moel serves as the chairman of the board for the Texas Cable Association.
Moel lives in the Dallas area with his wife Robin and their daughter.
