Recent Relocations and Expansions

 

Comerica Bank announced plans to move its corporate headquarters from Detroit to Dallas.  The move is expected to generate as many as 200 jobs and will consist of the executive team and a substantial number of local hires.

Maxim Integrated Products, a maker of integrated circuits, announce plans to open a facility in Irving.  The company received a $5 million grant through the Texas Enterprise Fund.

Erchonia Medical, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of biomedical laser products, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new corporate headquarters and operations facility in McKinney.  The company relocated from Mesa, AZ.

Essilor of America, Inc., a world leader in opthalmic optical products recently celebrated the groundbreaking of its new US corporate headquarters in Farmers Branch.

Cigna Insurance Company consolidated its Texas-based service center operations in Denison.  Cigna opened the new 140,000 square foot service center in May 2007.

The Celanese Corporation, an integrated producer of industrial chemicals, recently relocated their headquarters from Germany to the Farmers Branch area.  Celanese also plans to relocate the administration offices of its Acetate division from South Carolina as well as their corporate functions from New Jersey to the Dallas area. The relocation will result in 550 new jobs.

The Fluor Corporation, an engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance services organization, announced plans to relocate its global headquarters to DFW from Orange County, California.  At present, the move will result in 250 jobs, including executive transfers.

The Allen Group, a development firm based in California, recently purchased 2,000 acres near the Union Pacific intermodal facility in southern Dallas for a planned industrial development.   The Dallas Logistics Hub will support a build out of approximately 60 million square feet of industrial space.

Advo, a targeted home delivered print advertising provider, will open a print and distribution facility in Pinnacle Park.  The company chose the southern Dallas location over Houston.  This new location will support 150 jobs.
