Business to Business Development / Foreign Direct Investment
The Chamber promotes international trade and business-to-business development between existing Dallas/Fort Worth companies and businesses overseas by hosting incoming delegations and by organizing trade missions to strategic global markets. Annual Export-Import Bank of the U.S. Lenders Seminar
As part of its city/state partnership with The U.S. Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank, the Chamber held a training seminar on working capital delegated authority June 7, 2006. The day-long program outlined how to approve guaranteed loans by the Ex-Im Bank, which minimize lender risks while enabling them to offer their clients faster access to the capital they need to find new export markets. Go here for more information on the Ex-Im Bank's working capital program.
The 2006 Lenders' Seminar also included an exporters' luncheon. John A. Emens, Senior Vice President of the Ex-Im Bank's Small Business Initiative, delivered the luncheon keynote address. Mr. Emens spoke broadly about Ex-Im's products and services that are of interest to professionals looking to expand their companies' export markets. The Ex-Im Bank has made serving small businesses a priority, authorizing over $2.6 billion in direct support of U.S. small business exports in FY 2005.
