Intern Title:
  Web Developer Intern
Reports to:  VP of Research and/or Managing Director of Communications
Department: Communications and/or Research

Project Responsibilities: The Dallas Regional Chamber (www.dallaschamber.org) is seeking a web developer intern to help with website development and content generation, troubleshoot web-related issues, perform general web site maintenance and web tasks as needed for spring 2012 and, ideally, also for summer 2012. 

Qualified candidates with experience in PHP, CakePHP, and MySQL will also help with development of www.innovateDFW.com web site.


Education:
  • College Graduate or Undergraduate candidate
  • Course work in Web Development, Computer Science, Information Science or related area of study
  • Basic hands on front-end programming HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills combined with an eye for simplicity and user experience
  • Experience creating database-driven web sites is preferred using some of the following web programming technologies: PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, MySQL
  • Experience with design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently exceed objectives and take on more responsibility

Hours:
Flexible hours based on your class schedule; prefer a commitment of 20-30 hours a week but are flexible depending on candidate.

Salary:
Unpaid with parking provided.
