The Small Business and Entrepreneurship Resource Center
is a clearinghouse of information on current trends within the small business and entrepreneurship sectors and the ways these sectors are supported and promoted by public, private and nonprofit organizations.

North Texas Small Business Development Center
The SBDC conducts research, counsels and trains business people in managing, financing and operating small businesses, providing comprehensive information services and access to experts in a variety of fields.

Texas Workforce Commission
The TWC works with businesses to help recruit and hire employees at no cost to the employer.

Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas
Workforce Solutions provides access to job seekers, facilities for recruiting and interviewing candidates, participation in job fairs, labor market information and a number of other employer resources.

SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives)
This non-profit organization provides free, one-on-one counseling to Dallas’ small business owners and those interested in starting a small business.

The SBA offers information on small business loans, grants, bonds and other financial assistance.

U.S. Economic Development Administration
The EDA leads the federal economic development agenda by promoting competitiveness and preparing American regions for growth and success in the worldwide economy. It provides access to grant funding as well as technical assistance to business owners.

Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)
Community Development Block Grants (Entitlement Funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Program Funds) help to create an environment that recognized the critical role of quality of life for all citizens of Dallas.

Southern Dallas Development Corporation
The Southern Dallas Development Corporation (SDDC) was formed in 1989 as a not-for-profit 501(c3) to leverage private debt and equity, promote access to capital, facilitate job creation and foster economic development. Through their loan products and services, SDDC makes loans directly or in partnership with conventional banks.

South Dallas / Fair Park Trust Fund
The overarching goal of the Trust Fund continues to facilitate economic and community development in the South Dallas/Fair Park community.
