The Chamber works on behalf of its members to address a number of public policy issues important to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
As the largest metropolitan area in the state, the economic vitality of Texas is closely tied to the continued economic health of Dallas/Fort Worth. DFW currently represents one-quarter of the state’s population and accounts for one-third of its gross domestic product. With 6 million Texans, Dallas Fort Worth is the fourth largest metro in the nation, following the greater metro regions of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. The Greater Dallas Chamber represents CEO’s employing over 1 million people in the DFW area and supports the following priority initiatives in the 80th Texas Legislature:

- Health Care Initiatives
- Public & Higher Education
- Transportation
