Navigating Global Risk SeriesNavigating Global Risk Series:
2010 Calendar Announced!

The Dallas Regional Chamber’s International Business Council announced a new initiative focusing on global business risk mitigation titled “Navigating Global Risk”.

The Series includes educational programs scheduled through 2011. These events are designed to provide tools to the North Texas executive towards successfully competing in the international marketplace while mitigating the associated risks. 

Topics in the Series range from country-specific programming to financial tools and policy know-how with executives participating primarily from medium to large companies. The Series will offer continuing education credits in accounting and other areas.

International Trade Center SBDCGlobal Market Series: Import Certification Program
March 11-25, 2010

For both small and large companies, this series offers an overview of every step in the import process. You will learn how to analyze outsourcing options, the requirements of U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP), current compliance issues, new trends in importing, how to manage the logistics maze and the basics of international payment procedures. This series will insure you maximize profits the right way. Consecutive Thursdays. Seminars can be taken individually or as a complete series for certification. Must complete entire series for the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Import Certificate.

Aerospace Supplier ForumAerospace Supplier Forum

Mexico represents a strategic location for the aerospace industry development and has become a natural partner for the manufacture of sensitive products to U.S. national security as well as United Kingdom, Canada and France. With over 40 established firms, the State of Baja California represents a unique opportunity to 35% of companies in Mexico that assemble and manufacture aerospace parts and components. In the State, most of these companies are concentrated in Tijuana and Mexicali.

The State of Baja California is inviting the aerospace industry to participate in the Aerospace Supplier Forum, which will present, at a multinational level, Tijuana’s potential for suppliers as well as the development of the aerospace cluster thus creating an effective industrial chain in the area.
