Cheryl Cook, Vice President, US Sales, Sun Microsystems

Cheryl Cook serves as Vice President of Sales for the United States at Sun Microsystems, Inc. She is responsible for the organization's operational direction which includes developing growth and coverage strategies, as well as setting financial goals and objectives for the US. The organization is chartered with the sale of systems, software, storage, services and includes development and support of Sun's Channel Partners.

Under Cheryl's leadership, the US Sales organization delivers a consistent, integrated and responsive customer experience in commercial US companies including the Fortune 500, with a strong industry focus in Communications, Financial Services, Government and Education.

With over 21 years experience in the computer industry, Cheryl's passion and energy continues to drive results oriented sales organizations that deliver competitive and innovative business solutions that solve the most complex and demanding network computing issues facing clients today.

Previous responsibilities, at Sun Microsystems, include the Vice President of Sales for the Southern Area, and Director positions in both End User customer roles, as well as Channel Sales of Strategic and Global Alliances. Prior to Sun Microsystems, Cheryl held various engineering and sales positions at NCR.

Cheryl graduated from the University of Florida where she received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
