The Long View on China
It’s true what they say – until you’ve been to a World Expo, there is no fathoming its size. My first day at Shanghai EXPO 2010 it reached nearly 100 degrees Fahrenheit and set a record attendance at just under 600,000 visitors. The U.S. pavilion featured videos touting the spirit of the American people and the American companies that sponsored the pavilion. The “Salute to Texas” week was kicked off on Tuesday, June 15th in the sweltering Shanghai heat.

Mexico’s Plan to Build 10 Nuclear Power Plants by 2028
Mexico, a country rich in hydrocarbon exports is currently rethinking its national energy policy. President Felipe Calderon declared that Mexico will commit to reduce its carbon emissions which included a Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) consideration of building 10 nuclear power plants by 2028.

Congratulations to the Leadership Dallas Class of 2010!
Leadership Dallas, which began in 1975, is a leadership development program aimed at increasing the leadership pool for community activities in the Dallas area. During the 10-month program, participants receive in-depth education on critical issues in the community including criminal justice, education, government and politics, as well as a history of the area, health care, and human services.
