The Dallas Regional Chamber is hosting a Sustainable Infrastructure Summit on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Cityplace Conference Center, 2711 North Haskell. The Sustainable Infrastructure Summit is a new event for 2009 and will replace two of our annual events, the Public Sector Design and Construction Forum and the Environmental Seminar.
The summit, which will begin at 8:00 AM, will highlight the importance of sustainable infrastructure (i.e. building, transportation, waterways, etc.) as well as focus on the role that environmental elements (i.e. transportation, air quality and water) play in the process of procuring and protecting infrastructure. The summit will also focus on providing information regarding sustainable energy and renewable alternative energy sources.
John Horsley, Executive Director of The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), will deliver the keynote address, and focus on the infrastructure challenges in America.
We believe this summit will be a significant resource for our region’s design and construction industries as well as to those companies and individuals who are interested in creating sustainable infrastructure in the north Texas region. It will also offer Chamber members and guests the opportunity to meet with leading officials of regional agencies and municipalities.
Please check the Chamber’s website regularly for updates, the agenda for the Summit will be published once confirmed.
Sponsorship opportunities and exhibit space are available, as well as individual tickets.
