Dallas--Fort Worth has the 12th largest metropolitan economy in the world. What are the region's competitive strengths that have catapulted DFW into the upper ranks of global metros? And, what are the weaknesses that must be addressed to ensure continued success and prosperity?
The Economist Council of the Dallas Regional Chamber will launch a benchmark study of Dallas-Worth in the global economy. DFW will be measured on key economic sectors, business climate and quality of life against peer and leading metros in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Dr. Lyssa Jenkens, Chief Economist for the Dallas Regional Chamber along with members of the Economist Council, will present the findings of this study at a Leadership Breakfast scheduled for March 11. Leadership Dallas Alumni and Young Professionals members are encouraged to attend this informative session.
Global DFW marks the first release in the Chamber's efforts to promote a broader appreciation of DFW today, as a pillar in a global economy that operates through major metropolitan regions. This report will serve as a foundation for continuing research tracking the progress, opportunities and challenges in the months and years ahead.
