The Dallas Regional Chamber’s International Business Council (IBC) targeted one of its strategic markets with a recent visit to the United Kingdom. Meredith Dowling, vice president of International and Technology Business Development for the Chamber, and Aurora Battaglia, vice president and alt group manager, International Finance with Comerica Bank, conducted the June mission to London, Manchester and Birmingham.
The UK, DFW’s 7th largest trading partner, is a long-time strategic market for the Chamber; this mission included first-time and follow-up meetings with organizations and companies across the UK. Allen King, vice president of International Client Management with JP Morgan Chase and chair of the IBC’s UK Task Force, along with Aurora Batagglia, were invaluable in the Chamber’s development of this mission.
The IBC’s Strategic Market Task Force committees guide the Chamber’s strategies to increase trade and investment between DFW-area companies and key global regions. For more information, please visit www.dallaschamber.org/global or contact Sarah Carabias-Rush at srush@dallaschamber.org.
